Our conference invites you to help shape the next phase of the hey! programme, building a growing consensus and shared manifesto for change and development in early childhood education.
You will be able to connect and engage with our speakers in meaningful ways, and build your network within the hey! community of people committed to evidence-based quality practice in the sector.
We will be sharing inspiring and forward-thinking ideas and opening up inclusive and positive in-depth debate and discussions. Come and get involved, and be part of our movement of change. It is time for new conversations about early childhood education, nationally and locally with all current and future stakeholders.
There will be refreshments on arrival and throughout the day, and a lunch provided for you. You will be given all the presentations, our Reshaping the Future of ECE paper, and the conference report.

First, Jan Dubiel will be explaining and expanding upon our Reshaping policy paper and setting out the conditions for further exploration and definitions, high quality and impactful CPD, ambitious curricula, positive pro-action, and connecting to all other educators.
Then we shall extend thinking to incorporate the key areas of physical, emotional, language and cognitive development with Dr Lala Manners, Dr Jools Page and the Education Endowment Foundation. An expert debate and conference discussion will be adeptly chaired by former Editor in chief of Nursery World magazine, Liz Roberts. Before a concluding address from James Hempsall OBE considering how to put ambition into action that achieves outcomes.
